25 - Soften (Isolation Station)
Thursday Jul 09, 2020
Thursday Jul 09, 2020
During this episode, inspired by a download I had in meditation, I discuss how rigid we may have become in our lives and our thinking. Are we releasing control or are we becoming gradually more judgemental and tough on others and ourselves?
Can you soften more?
Can you find more space?
Can you release control?
Listen and find out.

ABOUT THE SHOW
Isolation Station is an offshoot of the Things I Wish I’d Known (TIWIK) podcast. During lockdown, Rachael has been isolated in her flat by her self, so as a passionate podcaster, she thought the best way to cope was to build a kid-style camp from a massage bed and her quilt (read: audio soundproofed booth) and to create a podcast to bring a little bit of wisdom to these times and continue the TIWIK mission of sharing wisdom on how to master your mental health and fall back in love with yourself!

23 Depression (Isolation Station)
Tuesday May 05, 2020
Tuesday May 05, 2020
During this episode, I discuss the concept of the impossible task. A concept which was introduced to me by a good friend Ceri Ashe. When depression comes on, what should we do? I don’t necessarily recommend this but I used to roll off my bed onto the floor and lay there arguing with myself to get up. Eventually, I’d be sitting, then ultimately I’d be standing… aimlessly staring at a wall. If nothing changes unless you do, what can we change in order to beat depression?

22 Creation and Destruction (Isolation Station)
Monday May 04, 2020
Monday May 04, 2020
Are you creating or destroying? Are you an active participant in your own life?
What if you were to move into a state of compassion? If we’re to live in a wise way maybe we could live our lives by asking these questions more often. During this episode, I ponder these questions and what happens when we get bored, confused and lose our purpose and talk through how we can learn to tolerate our unhelpful experiences more easily.

21 Limitations (Isolation Station)
Sunday May 03, 2020
Sunday May 03, 2020
During this episode, I share a reading from Caroline Myss PHD’s Book, Anatomy of the Spirit. I wonder if we can let go of human reasoning and tune into more spiritual connection to help connect the dots and make sense of whats happening with COVID-19? Caroline says “The more we can release our learned tendency to judge, the more we open up to our minds to a quality of understanding that is divine in origin. Human reasoning can never answer the mysteries of our lives.” in the book and I ponder this and whether we will we ever go back to normal.
