As a teenager Lis experienced a quite unique and severe trauma. She lived with undiagnosed PTSD for over 30 years which led to her being on a path of self-destruction for a long time. Until a breakthrough moment changed the course of her life forever. She has transformed her trauma into an incredible memoir, THIS IS ME and travels the world speaking and training people on these topics. 34 Alexandra Roxo - Sensuality As A Spiritual Path
Tuesday Aug 25, 2020
Tuesday Aug 25, 2020
*Listener discretion is advised is sexual topics are not your bag. *
In this episode, I chat with Alexandra Roxo an American author, spiritual teacher and artist who helps Women navigate the modern feminine experience.
She has been featured on TV shows such as Slutever on Viceland, Sex/ Life on Epix, youtube shows and international publications and now she joins us for an episode of TIWIK about sensuality. Nothing is off-limits with discussions traversing whether God agrees with threesomes and spanking, anal sex, how Women waste time, money and energy trying to fit in and never feeling good enough and how we should all be asking “how was your orgasm last night?”
We discuss the wild chasm and intersection of cultures which Alexandra grew up in. Splitting her time between her Father's side - Brazilian sensual, open, expressed and her Mothers Georgian, Christian South USA puritan background and how this fed her artistic creation. We consider the term ‘spiritual’ and talk about whether the term is overused and needs a new deeper terminology created.
In her new book, F*ck like a goddess Alexandra says “As women, we need to liberate our voices, step into total security within ourselves, and fully own our raw, sensual power, finally letting go of the shame, guilt, denial, and repression that’s been put upon us.” and I couldn’t agree more. Listen to this to feel empowered about your sensuality.

33 Adele Wang - Feminine Presence As Power
Tuesday Aug 18, 2020
Tuesday Aug 18, 2020
This week I am talking to Adele Wang, a mentor, speaker, author and energy healer from Atlanta, USA. We discuss how the constant drumbeat of self-development can create a culture of needing to 'fix' yourself and that when the bar keeps moving you can get stuck in a "not good enough" loop which can lead to, or be unhelpful when dealing with depression. We dive into the links between deep connection, receiving and more Feminine presence traits and how when we can experience people in the moment, we can heal. Adele had suffered for many years with depression, anxiety and physical pain before discovering Reiki and starting her own healing journey. She now helps smart, intuitive, perfectionist Women to create happiness and success in their lives.
