45 Mark White - An Attitude of Gratitude
Saturday May 22, 2021
Saturday May 22, 2021
**Contains frank talk of mental health & addiction issues that may be triggering to some people**
Mark White has held many titles over the years: father, husband, son, brother, CEO/founder, ideas man, but above all, he is a firm believer in not attaching himself to any particular label: “I am a human being first and what comes with that is my expectation around how I will be able to take on the different roles life has presented me and where my curiosity will continue to lead me.”
Mark is the founder of a company called Your Town which has live “community up” initiatives/campaigns across various UK towns, including Your Town Runners. In addition to launching Run Grateful, he recently created and founded MEUS, which is a platform to reimagine men’s health in order to support them physically, mentally, and spiritually. In 2019, Mark was voted in the top 15 social entrepreneurs in the UK by Redbull.
To keep things interesting, Mark is a children’s book author, having released Dumbleby Forest - centred around a world where children send their dunnies when they are ready to let them go.
Key points from the interview:
- How Mark started a movement for mens health- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual during lockdown, and how fast it has grown. 60 countries!
- How gratitude and movement are connected- or if they are weren't they are now.
- How gratitude and the positive emotions renew, regenerate and are darn good for you!
- How there is science based evidence for this
- The funniest definition of "Woo Woo" that you almost definitely will ethically steal and use in conversation!

39 Janey Lee Grace - Staying Sober.
Tuesday Sep 29, 2020
Tuesday Sep 29, 2020
To end this season of Things I Wish I'd Known (I know I am sad too!) I'm speaking with Janey Lee Grace. She has done so many things in her life, it's almost difficult to create an intro for her.
During this episode, we discuss the fear of losing control and the pressure on Mum’s when it comes to alcohol. We chat about the need and excitement we both feel for the new alcohol-free alternatives that stop you from drinking diet coke all night and how we will leave a party if it’s sh*t because without alcohol you tend to notice much earlier :-) Janey shares her journey from numbing out uncomfortable emotions with booze, and the shock she felt when she realised the links between anxiety and alcohol, to ditching the booze for more contentment and calm. This is a must-listen for anyone who is sober or sober curious.
Janey's a regular presenter on Radio 2, an author of several books, including her latest one, Look great naturally without the ditching the lipstick. She hosts her own podcast, The alcohol-free life, which I've been lucky enough to guest on (listen here). Runs the Sober Club membership and is a presenter and speaker who is passionate about ditching the booze and living a healthier lifestyle. You can find out more about her here: https://janeyleegrace.com/

Tuesday Sep 22, 2020
I'm really honoured to be introducing one of my teachers who got me into gong, Cherub Sanson. A woman supremely dedicated to sharing the transformational powers of sound, and the benefits of exploring frequency to guide us all into happier, healthier states of mind.
She's a sound artist and teacher based in London. The founder of Cherabella, where she makes the most incredible cost-effective crystal bowls and beautiful tuning forks. And she's also just launched, the sister sound circle where you can join her in mainlining new moon sister, sound energy once a month. She says it's the healthiest addiction she's ever had!
During this episode we talk about heart centred energy, learning the way of gong and sound healing and how it creates community. Cherub is definitley someone who loves to bring people together and all rise up collectively. We talk about choosing instruments, teachers and community and how important that is and how sound is a leveller bringing all types of people together. This episode is a must if you're into sound healing.
