Welcome to TIWIK- Things I Wish I'd Known, Season 5!
More deep conversations to inspire you to create positive change in your life.
Kavita is a transformation and embodiment coach on a mission to help people to get out of their heads, connect with their bodies and move forward in their lives through embodied decisions. She has a passion for her work because she knows what its like to be stuck. With a background in psychology, she went to Thailand to begin her initial 200 hour yoga teacher training. This process blew her mind and upon her return she immediately embarked on her Masters degree in Consciousness, Spirituality, and Transpersonal Psychology, five further yoga trainings, accredited coaching training, breathwork training, and has just completed her feminine embodiment coaching course. Her own transformational journey has been one of the most powerful aspects of the last seven years.
Key points of this episode:
- How Kavita took an unconventional path to embodiment
- What embodiment is.
- How you can be more embodied for an easier life.
- How to slow the mind down by using the body.

55 Tamu Thomas | Trust. Trauma and Truth.
Friday Jun 17, 2022
Friday Jun 17, 2022
Trigger warning: We discuss trauma, mental health issues & race in this episode.
I have been wanting to speak to Tamu on this podcast for a hot minute and this week it happened! Tamu’s work is informed by her background of sixteen years in social work, somatic coach training, her love of behavioural neuroscience and polyvagal theory, positive psychology, spirituality and joy. Tamu combines these modalities to create a multifaceted body of work that helps her clients begin to tend to their needs, feel safe in their bodies, befriend themselves and begin to enjoy who they are.
Key Points from the interview:
How trauma can be alchemised into fertilizer that supports your growth.
How many are only getting "bar snacks" of growth rather than the "full nutrition-rich version"!
How "Super Positive" messages are not always what they seem and how to discern.
The Truth of Trust, and how to access it.

Welcome to TIWIK- Things I Wish I'd Known, Season 5!
More deep conversations to inspire you to create positive change in your life.
*Trigger warning alcoholism & mental health
As one of the UK’s most influential mental health advocates, he regularly speaks on BBC, ITV & Channel 5 news. Josh has also spoken in the House of Commons, contributed to mental health policy and even advised the scriptwriting team on Hollyoaks. He has run resilience workshops for village schools and global brands alike. Additionally, he is an ambassador for Nacoa – a national charity supporting people affected by a parent’s drinking.
Key points from the interview:
How Josh did not even realise that he had navigated a difficult life hiding behind self-created but unhelpful narratives.
How avoidance is not the key - "Taking yourself out of yourself to stop you being yourself!"
How we create dysfunctional behaviours to avoid feeling what we feel.
Paradoxically, how alcohol was not the (original) problem and saved his life when he was 12.
A new, functional definition of "true growth"
Being comfortable with being uncomfortable.
A true definition of freedom, that does not restrict people and allows people to be who they are in the context of their lives.
How there is no "one" right answer. Many keys for many doors!
How our beliefs need a little editing.
